Important Dates
- April 2nd – End of CFP (full paper/extended abstract/short video)
- May 1st – Notification of acceptance/rejection of presentation to authors
- May 27th – Final paper (for those who will provide it)
How to Submit
All submissions must be done using the conference management system available at the https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=xmlp2024
If you have never used this system before for other conferences, you will have to sign-up first and create new account for yourself. New account can be created by following instructions on the page mentioned above. Alternatively you can proceed directly to new account setup.
After logging onto conference management system you will be able to submit your proposal and edit this submission before the deadline. You can also view the status of your submission as well as review comments from the review process once review is done.
You may submit an extended abstract, full paper or short video. We recommend to provide as much information as possible to give the reviewers the best chance to judge your submission.
When creating submission make sure that title and abstract fields are properly reflecting your descriptions and can be directly used on the conference website in the schedule.
If you are submitting paper or extended abstract upload it in PDF or HTML format. Please make sure that your name and identity is not mentioned in the submission in order to allow truly fair blind review selection process. All submissions must be in English and paper should not exceed 15 pages in length.
If you are submitting short video publish it somewhere (for example on YouTube, Google Drive or OneDrive) and put link to it into submission document. Please make sure that link doesn’t require to enter credential before viewing video.
If your presentation is accepted and you will be deliver paper you have to submit it in DocBook XML format. Final paper should be sent by email to jirka.kosek@xmlprague.cz.
DocBook XML format
All final submission must be valid DocBook V5.0 XML documents using <article> element as a root. DocBook documentation and schemas can be found on the Docbook website.
If you are not familiar with DocBook we recommend using editors with DocBook support (for example oXygen; the free trial version can edit DocBook documents in both source and visual form).
For inspiration you can look at a sample DocBook template.
Please make sure that your document is well-formed and valid before submission!
Speaker registration
Speakers who will deliver paper for proceedings will get full-pass for free. Other speakers will get significant discount. Once your proposal is accepted you will get email with registration instructions. We ask you not to register before you will be notified about acceptance/rejection of your proposal because until then we will not know if you are eligible for speaker discount.
Questions
If you have any question regarding submission process please contact Jirka Kosek at jirka.kosek@xmlprague.cz.
Preparing for presentation
You can find time and length of your presentation in program once it’s published. Time slot for majority of presentations is 30 minutes including speaker switch. Please plan your presentation 5-10 minutes shorter so there is enough time for questions after your talk.
The projector has HDMI connector. If you will be using your laptop without HDMI output, please bring your own display adapter.
Please keep in mind that the sessions are recorded, which means that some less contrast, or too small details can be blurred as a result of the video encoding.
